When I first began elk hunting a few years ago, I struggled to locate elk. I had no clue what I was doing and what to look for as far as habitat and terrain features that elk utilize during archery season. Over the past few years, through many trials and tribulations, I’ve learned where elk live and most importantly, why they are there.
This video showcases how I use onXmaps and Google Earth to digitally scout for elk in Colorado by showing you how to locate bedding, food, and water in accordance with topography and elevation.
